At Playtime Early Childhood Enrichment Center, our distinctive opportunity for intergenerational activities sets us apart. Being part of a larger senior living community allows our young learners to engage in meaningful interactions with older adults through shared activities, visits, celebrations, music, crafts, reading, and other engaging experiences. These interactions foster relationships between children and seniors, something that many traditional daycare settings do not provide. Through these connections, children develop respect, empathy, patience, kindness, and communication skills, while also gaining an appreciation for others and learning from diverse life experiences. This valuable time spent with seniors helps build their confidence in social settings. For our residents, these moments bring joy, connection, and a renewed sense of purpose, while for our children, they create memorable learning experiences that extend far beyond the classroom. At Playtime, we believe that some of the most impactful lessons arise from these connections. Our Young at Heart Connections program enables our children to learn not only how to grow, but how to care, listen, respect, and connect with others at every stage of life.
